Position overviewPosition title:Deputy DirectorSalary range: The posted UC system-wide salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and/or step at appointment. See Table 36 for the salary range for this position. Salary offers are determined based on qualifications and experience, budget, and the application of fair, equitable, and consistent pay practices at the University. The full salary range for this position is $59,727-$113,704. The budgeted salary that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position is $72,000-$88,000. “Off-scale salaries,” i.e., a salary that is higher than the published system-wide salary at the designated rank and step, are offered when necessary to meet competitive conditions.

The 2035 Initiative is a collaboration between environmental policy and politics research labs at the University of California Santa Barbara. The Initiative uses cutting-edge empirical research, policy development, and media engagement to support transformational policy change in the United States and across the planet. Approximately 50% of the Academic Coordinator’s time will be focused on providing administrative, operational, communications, and fundraising support and the other 50% will be focused on assisting in the management and execution of specific research projects. We are looking for a detail-oriented team player with the ability and willingness to juggle a broad spectrum of responsibilities to fill this dynamic role.
