Assistant Professor of NeurologyPosition OverviewOrganization: Neurology Title: Assistant Professor (Without Tenure), Movement Disorders Neurologist Position DetailsPosition DescriptionThe Department of Neurology at the University of Washington School of Medicine is seeking to hire a Movement Disorders neurologist to work at the VA Puget Sound Health Care System (VAPSHCS) and Neurology service at UWMC-Montlake. This is a full-time 12-month service period (July 1-June 30 Service period) appointment at the Assistant Professor (without tenure due to funding) rank. University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research, and service. The VAPSHCS Neurology consists of a robust VA Neurology Service which includes an inpatient neurology and consultation service, a VHA Epilepsy Center of Excellence, a Multiple Sclerosis Regional Center of Excellence, and a Parkinson Disease Research, Education and Clinical Centers. This person will work in the clinic and will aim to grow the UWMC movement disorders practice, in collaboration with our movement disorders colleagues in the Department of Neurological Surgery. Clinics will consist of movement disorders as well as general neurology and dementia patients. Tele-neurology clinics will also be part of the schedule. The base salary range for this position will be $17,454 - $ 18,811 per month ($209,448 - $225,732 per year), commensurate with experience, discipline, and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. Our salaries are bench marked based on the AAMC scale Other compensation associated with this position may or may not include Startup, Relocation Incentive/Moving Allowance Administrative supplement for a defined administrative role, or Productivity Incentive.
