The associate professor is expected to contribute actively to advancing the research and teaching environment.

Duties and Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities of the post include contributing to the scholarship and intellectual life of the University of Copenhagen by conducting world-class research and teaching. An associate professor also has administrative responsibilities and is expected to develop the field in synergy with other fields and exercise academic leadership.

General duties attached to the position of Associate Professor in Environmental and Climate Economics are:

  • Research within the field of Environmental and Climate Economics.
  • Teaching, supervision, and examination of undergraduate and post-graduate students.
  • Administrative tasks.
  • Knowledge sharing with the rest of society.
  • Research and teaching management.
  • Raising external research grants.

Your Competencies and Opportunities
Applicants for the position are expected to have significant experience in teaching Environmental and Climate Economics as well as experience with knowledge sharing with the rest of society. Experience with the construction of computable general equilibrium environmental-economic models will be an advantage.

The position

  • The terms of appointment and salary are in accordance with the agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (Akademikerne).
  • The salary is DKK 44.911 monthly + a 17.1 % contribution to the pension scheme. It is possible to negotiate salary supplements on an annual basis. 
  • The position is permanent; therefore, we strongly encourage you to acquire the proficiency in Danish required to teach and interact with colleagues in 3-6 years. The Department will pay for the necessary language training.
