Description

The Department of Pharmacology at Yale University School of Medicine invites applications for an Associate Professor with Tenure position in the tenure track. Applicants must have a Ph.D. and/or M.D. or equivalent degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in research and education. The focus of this search is on faculty with substantial involvement in computational approaches, either in the area of computational chemistry/structural biology and/or in computational systems biology relevant to modern pharmacology. Applicants who also have (or plan to have) a wet lab component in their research program are particularly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities include establishing a vigorous and independently funded research program while supervising and mentoring students with diverse backgrounds plus contributing to the graduate and medical school educational missions. We seek individuals with strong records of creative accomplishments, who are also keen to interact productively with colleagues within the Department of Pharmacology and across Yale School of Medicine and Yale more generally.

Pharmacology at Yale University has a rich history of pre-eminence in drug discovery, indeed the first cancer chemotherapy clinical trials were conducted here. Today, the research in our Department encompasses a broad range of fields, with researchers aiming to both understand and treat human disease, with particular strengths in drug discovery, integrative cell signaling, structural biology, and neuroscience. For more details, see https://medicine.yale.edu/pharm/.

Informal inquiries may be submitted electronically to Professor Mark Lemmon, Chair of Pharmacology (mark.lemmon@yale.edu).

Consideration of applications will begin November 27th, 2023.

Yale University is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer. We seek candidates who embrace and reflect diversity in the broadest sense.
