The department is one of only a few broad-based anthropology departments in the UK comprising five sub-sections: Evolutionary and Environmental Anthropology, Social Anthropology, Material Culture, Medical Anthropology and Public Anthropology. About the roleWe are looking to appoint a full-time Associate Lecturer (Teaching) in Human Behavioural Ecology for a period of 9 months, to start in January 2025. The salary for this post will be in the range of Grade 7: £45,521-50,585 per annum incl. London Weighting . The post-holder should have broad research and teaching expertise within Biological and Evolutionary Anthropology and specialist expertise in Human Behavioural Ecology.
About youThe ideal candidate will have a strong background in Human Behavioural Ecology, with a PhD in Anthropology (or a closely related field). We are looking for a candidate with evidence of high-quality teaching, and a demonstrable commitment to inclusive, research-based education who will contribute to the department's overall profile in teaching and learning, and student experience at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
