Duties: The successful candidate will be expected to: (i) teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Hydrometeorology, Aviation meteorology, Synoptic meteorology, and Satellite meteorology; (ii) supervise both undergraduate and graduate student research projects within the department; (iii) conduct research in their area of expertise; (iv) participate in the academic and professional activities of the Department; (vi) and carry out any other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Department. Requirements: Applicants should have: (i) a PhD in Atmospheric Physics or related field, (ii) show evidence of engagement in research. Evidence of governance and social engagement, (iii) teaching experience at a university or comparable institution will be an added advantage; (iv) and evidence of scholarship in atmospheric physics. NB: Applicants with a Master’s degree in Atmospheric physics with a bachelor’s degree in Atmospheric Physics or related with at least a 2(i) pass or GPA of at least 3.6 or equivalent may be considered under special circumstances.
