Job descriptionThe KTH Division of Electromagnetic Engineering and Fusion Science | KTH coordinates the EU project TauBE, funded by the European Innovation Council (EIC) Pathfinder programme. The postdoctoral project is carried out in collaboration with researchers at KTH and the partners in the TauEB project: The postdoctoral project is part of the TauEB team effort to develop modelling of the Novatron concept for stable plasma confinement. The Novatron is a new improved type of mirror device. A particular goal of the postdoctoral project is to develop numerical plasma simulation tools for studying the effect of applied RF fields on confinement. KTH has a well-established activity in magnetic confinement fusion research, contributing to EUROfusion and ITER.
