The Engineering Division of Berkeley Lab is seeking Senior Electronics Engineering Associate to independently oversee technical and construction support for the ALS-U. Responsibilities include documentation, procurement, installation instructions, oversight of ALS-U electronic and electrical systems testing, and coordinating with subsystem leads to ensure NEC-compliant cabling and AC distribution hardware design.
The ALS (https://www.als.lbl.gov) is a world-class accelerator-based user facility that provides high intensity high energy photon beams for science. A 200-meter circumference electron accelerator generates photon packets that feed the more than 40 independent beamlines where more than 2000 scientists per year perform their experiments. The ALS has recently started a major accelerator upgrade project to rejuvenate the facility for many years to come.

The expected pay for this position is $108,780.00 to $132,960.00 annually, which fits into the full salary range of $96,684.00 to $163,188.0 annually for this position. Final salary amounts depend upon the candidate’s skills, knowledge, and abilities, including education, certifications, and years of experience.
Level 3
The expected pay for this position is $131,808.00 to $161,112.00 annually, which fits into the full salary range of $117,180.00 to $197,748.00 annually for this position. Final salary amounts depend upon the candidate’s skills, knowledge, and abilities, including education, certifications, and years of experience.
