Senior Lecturers in Neurobiology
The Department of Neurobiology, Care Sciences and Society (NVS) conducts world leading research in aging, dementia, epidemiology and care sciences. The research extends from basic molecular and cell levels to clinical research and societal studies. NVS educates almost a third of KI students at undergraduate and advanced levels. The Department has seven divisions, located at Campus Flemingsberg and Campus Solna. At the Division of Occupational Therapy, our vision is to make a decisive contribution to improving people's health through research, education and interprofessional cooperation with a scientific basis in occupational therapy and occupational science. There are good opportunities to apply for grants at KI, for example through the graduate school in health sciences. Education is conducted at undergraduate level (the occupational therapy program), advanced level (master in occupational therapy) and at doctoral level. We can offer an inspiring and engaging work environment in which we develop our subject theoretically. The Division of Occupational Therapy has about 30 employees and 10 registered PhD students. The division's main area, occupational therapy, is based on humanistic values and with occupation and participation at the core and theoretically grounded in occupational science. Knowledge in the main area is applicable at individual, group, and societal level. The Division of occupational therapy strives to be a leader on societal relevant research in occupational therapy, and occupational science, and to contribute to evidence-based guidelines and health care practice and to support the development of occupational therapy to shape the future of the healthcare context. Our research aims to find solutions that lead to improved health, increased participation in everyday activities, in sustainability as well as more person-centered care. Our education is research-driven and offers international exchanges and experiences for our students and teachers. In teaching we offer a diversity of pedagogical methods and experience-based learning activities. We are looking for you who feel strongly committed to being part of our development of education and research in occupational therapy/occupational science. An important part of the teaching assignment is to continue the research-related education in occupational therapy.
